Biz-Zone is one of the top-tier companies in a niche database market in Canada, developing web platforms and integrated websites for progressive clients.
We are looking for a talented AJAX/HTML/CSS/PHP/MySQL developer to work in our office for a 6 month contract to develop client-facing screens for our SaaS products and web software.
We need someone who can hit the ground running and is already very comfortable with the LAMP environment, using JavaScript, jQuery and CSS in the Bootstrap 3.0 framework to build highly interactive, functional screens. A strong understanding of UX is preferred, but the most important skills will be your proven PHP/AJAX/CSS capabilities.
For the right candidate this could lead to a full time position.

- Design, develop and test new web applications
- Maintain and enhance existing web applications
- Work with other team members during implementation and deployment process
- Work in a fast-paced, agile development environment

- You are a hands-on individual who loves to get to work and get the job done.
- Computer Science degree (BSc.) or equivalent
- 3+ years' experience with OO development in a LAMP environment (PHP, MySQL)
- Strong hands-on experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, AJAX, jQuery, Bootstrap)
- Demonstrable experience with user-first (as opposed to system model) design
- Experience developing technical design documentation and participating in a technical design and code peer review process
- Knowledge of Zend an asset
