Position: Drupal Web Developer [1]

Caithness Media Group is an advertising & marketing agency in the north Toronto area. We are currently seeking an experienced freelance Drupal 7 developer for a few projects on-the-go to work alongside our production team at the comfort of your own home studio or at our office if you would like some human interaction. Responsibilities for this position include module implementation and web application development, migration of previous versions of Drupal to the new platform, troubleshooting, and find solutions to various problems (ie. development platforms, documentation, etc.). Responsibilities: - Proficient in the maintenance and administration of Drupal 7 modules and sites - Experience integrating open source and third-party applications into existing systems - Turning design and user interface mockups into functional websites - Work with Team Lead to estimate development effort - Assist in release management activities of web sites built with Drupal - Assist with end-user support needs and perform troubleshooting and issue resolution - Possible routine maintenance - both module and core updates for multiple web sites - Develop and document technical requirements and solutions - Project Management: Active ownership and accountability for all assigned projects through final delivery, meeting all timeline milestones and delivering within the approved budgets Required Skills/Experience: - Proficiency in Drupal 7 modules and sites - Strong technical skills in Drupal, PHP, HTML/XHTML, CSS and JavaScript - Knowledge of web application security considerations - Experience with MySQL and database designs - Ability to effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing
