Stouffville’s Sugarbush Farms

As spring arrives in Stouffville, the maple syrup starts to flow and what better way to celebrate the coming of spring then with a visit to one of your local sugar bush farms?   Stouffville is home to two wonderful family oriented sugar bush farms, with plenty of exiting activities and demonstrations - fun for all ages.

The first is located at Bruce’s Mill, a conservation area on 3291 Stouffville Rd. Bruce’s Mill is home to one of Stouffville’s amazing Maple Syrup Festival locations along with Kortright.  The Maple Syrup Festival is open from March 2nd to April 7th 2013. Come out and tap into the beauty of nature. Enjoy the many family fun demonstrations and activities that they offer such as: Wagon rides, live kids entertainment, fun crafts and of course pancakes and maple syrup. The second is locally-owned, Horton Tree Farms, Located 14844 Warden Avenue. The Maple Syrup Festival Starts March 13th 2013. Visitors to this beautiful sugar bush appreciate the warm and personal approach, as well as the rustic setting. With activates throughout the day, Horton’s tree farm is the perfect spot for lessons in maple syrup production, trees, nature appreciation and ecology. Along with yummy sap and syrup samples, pancakes, hot drinks and pure maple syrup and maple products.
