Why am I running

I want to make a difference in the lives of the people living in Ward 2. In order to be able to make that difference I must be sitting at the table where decisions are made.

Important issues

The town debt, purchasing a building to be used for the town offices and increasing the contingent of fire fighters at the Ballantrae fire hall are all matters with serious financial implications. As these come before Council I will be able to make decisions based on the knowledge gained through my business career in the financial and real estate industry.

Goals

I will work with and encourage Town Staff to implement a strategic plan for attracting industry to town. Industry will bring jobs. Jobs will encourage residents to live here.

Current Town Council passed a motion to not extend full-time, 24/7 service at the Fire Hall which service Musselman's Lake and Ballantrae until 2014. The current 7AM to7PM service is not in the best interest of residents. My goal is to have this 24/7 service put in place sooner than 2014 and at a fair and reasonable cost to the taxpayers.
