RICHARD BARTLEY, WARD 5

I have been a resident of Whitchurch Stouffville for 49 years and have lived in Ward 5 for 26 years.  I have been a strong voice for the last 4 years on Council.

I have been employed by Williamson Uxbridge for 30 years in the Elite Member Guild.  This is a group of professionals who have risen to the challenge and successfully met the highest standards of membership which requires certification in the GM PRO curriculum.  In my business to succeed you have to think of the people first.  This philosophy is with me in my Council position.   

 Accomplishments during my 1^st term in Office:

• Instrumental in starting up the Farmers Market and I am still involved with the committee today.
• 19 On the Park and enhanced Court Yard
• Revitalization of Memorial Park
• 2 new Ice pads (98% booked for the season)
• 24/7 State of the Art Fire Services
• Western Approach beautification
• East End Shoppers Drug Mart Plaza (requested by East end residents last election)
• Addressed barriers to businesses and encouraged new businesses to locate downtown (Meat Merchant)
• Speed reduction and sidewalks along 10^th line
