Glenbrook Day Camp

A Day Camp Adventure for girls and boys, aged 4 to 15 years old... A summer in the country! Summer Camp 2010

You must register in person at the Lebovic Leisure Centre or by mail. Contact the Leisure Centre 905-642-7529 for forms. Each week has a THEME around which all activities are based. Special guests will also be introduced midweek to expand and help campers explore the themes.

Woodland Trails

Guess what I did this SUMMER? I climbed a huge CLIMBING WALL, went on a ROPES COURSE, had a COOKOUT and that was just ONE DAY!

That's what you get when you come to Adventureland! And the greatest thing is that this is a week-long camp so you get that type of fun every day. Adventureland is a summer camp for kids aged 6 to 15 that runs each summer. We run four times and each time, it lasts one week - actually, its five days :) If you really want, you can stay for as many weeks as you want. The camp takes place at Camp Woodland Trails and you'll get to make new friends, spend time in the outdoors, and best of all, HAVE FUN!

Deerfield Farm

Hockey Camp

Lead by qualified instructors, campers will participate in on-ice instruction in powerskating and hockey skills. Off ice activities include: movies, games indoor sports and fun. Full equipment is required as well as a CSA approved hockey helmet and hockey stick.

Junior Powerskating

Full equipment is required as well as a CSA approved hockey helmet and a stick. This program helps develop strong hockey skills with a focus on power, coordination and endurance. This is not a learn to skate program. Participants must have taken two sessions of skating lessons or be currently playing hockey at the house league level in order to attend this camp. Over the course of this four-day camp, participants will concentrate on the following areas:

Starts & Stops * Cross-overs * Turning & Edge Control * Backwards Skating * Skating Drills with Pucks. This is not a 'learn to skate' program. Participants must have taken two sessions of skating lessons in order to attend this camp.

CyberCamp Robotics Academy Stouffville

LIT Program

The Leadership Camp aims to help enhance and develop the real life skills of the participants. Each day of the two week session will give participants an opportunity to put into practice what they have learned. The first half of the day will be spent working on leadership skills through various fun and creative hands-on activities. The first week will focus on the essential leadership skills such as, improving communication skills, organizational skills, teamwork, and conflict resolution. The second week will see progressions from the previous week, with added topics including cooperative games, integration of individuals' special needs, and event/trip planning.The second half of the day will give participants the opportunity to apply their skills as they will be assisting camp counselors with their programs. The beginning sessions will be spent mostly observing with a small amount of assisting.

Nineteen on the Park Summer Theatre Camp 2010

Ages: 10-15 (no experience necessary)

The Nineteen on the Park Summer Theatre Camp is an exciting opportunity for young performers to explore various styles of theatre under professional instructors from MOTUS O Dance Theatre. Different aspects of the theatre will be emphasized: mime, physical theatre, improvisation, voice and stage craft. This is an opportunity for young people interested in building confidence or developing their dramatic skills.

Each session ends with a public performance of an original production created and developed by the young people and their instructors. The final production will be presented at Nineteen on the Park at 6:30 pm on the second last day of camp.
